“This inn struck me as a place where warmth and character matter more than polished luxury. What stood out most was the genuine friendliness, extending from the staff to the pub downstairs, and a breakfast that clearly takes pride in its quality; for those prioritizing atmosphere and hearty welcomes over pristine quiet, it could be just right.”

The Swordfish Inn offers spacious and clean rooms, some featuring harbor views and window seats overlooking the fish market. Guests appreciate the convenient location near the water, with easy access to Penzance and St Michael's Mount. The hearty English breakfast is a highlight for many, setting them up for the day ahead; though it's worth noting that live music in the pub on some evenings can be heard in the rooms above. Plus, the inn's proximity to a takeaway and its provision of ample in-room tea, coffee, and toiletries further enhance the stay.

a mixed experience

loud music poor soundproofing
the noise became a real issue . music from the pub was quite loud , continuing until late into the night. also , i found the lack of soundproofing made it difficult to relax , especially with pub-goers outside creating a disturbance.
